Lady A are giving fans an intimate first look at their 10th studio album. On Oct. 28, the trio caught listeners by surprise with the release of “Bigger Picture,” offering the first glimpse of the landmark project.
For more than two decades, the group have used their music to share personal experiences and emotions with their audience. Their latest release continues that tradition, but takes it in an even more vulnerable direction. Produced by Jay Joyce, the track carries a sense of hope that Lady A felt compelled to share with the world.

Lady A had not planned to put out any new music this year. The trio had been concentrating on their tour while working on material for their next album. That changed when they received a demo of “Bigger Picture,” written by Trannie Anderson, Devin Dawson, Paul Sikes and Andy Albert.
“The day before we went into the studio to finish up our next record, this song was sent to Hillary. We felt its message so deeply and knew it needed to be on the next record, so we cut it the next day,” explains Lady A’s Dave Haywood.
A week after recording the track, its message became even more meaningful when Charles Kelley revealed his blood cancer diagnosis. The song’s themes of trusting God’s plan when life takes an unexpected turn suddenly reflected the uncertainty facing the three bandmates as they entered a new chapter together.
“God’s timing in allowing this song to find us and the message behind it is truly carrying us right now. We can’t help but think there are more people who might need to hear it too. We trust there’s a bigger picture,” Haywood added.
In a video posted to Instagram, Kelley called the track “one of my top five favorite vocals from Hillary,” praising her contribution to the song. Her voice takes centre stage, complemented by the trio’s rich harmonies as they explore how difficult it can be to make sense of life’s challenges, including heartbreak, loss, illness and other unexpected hardships.
At the heart of “Bigger Picture” is the belief that people can only see a small part of what is happening, while God sees the full picture and has a plan. Its message offers reassurance to anyone struggling with unanswered prayers or questioning why certain things happen, suggesting that there may be more to their story than they can understand in the moment.
The lyrics capture that idea through the image of seeing life one frame at a time, while trusting that God has a greater vision.

“So special how this song kind of came about. It found us for sure,” Kelley added, describing how meaningful the track has become to the group. He also shared that, amid his ongoing treatment, today was a “good day.”
The DIAMOND-certified, GRAMMY Award-winning trio will soon return to the stage with their THIS WINTER’S NIGHT TOUR 2026, which kicks off on December 10 at Northfield Park Racino in Northfield, Ohio. The holiday tour will bring Lady A to major cities including New York, New York, and Greensboro, North Carolina, with a schedule expected to feature festive performances and heartfelt moments for fans. The group will wrap up the run on December 21 with two shows at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
