If you’re not planning to catch The Odyssey in theaters, there’s another option waiting at home. The Devil All the Time is currently streaming on Netflix—and despite its title, it’s not a horror movie.
Released in 2020 and adapted from Donald Ray Pollock’s acclaimed 2011 novel, the psychological crime drama follows a sprawling cast of interconnected characters whose lives collide across two small American towns, spanning the years from World War II through the 1960s.

What did the critics say about The Devil All the Time?
The Devil All the Time earned a respectable 65% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 219 reviews, with many praising its gripping atmosphere and powerhouse cast.
The Telegraph described the film as “fiendishly gripping,” singling out Robert Pattinson as the standout performer. The review praised his remarkable range, noting that he can appear “handsome one moment, terrifying the next, and ludicrous the one after that,” while calling him the perfect counterpart to Tom Holland’s brooding and quietly intense Arvin.
Meanwhile, The Irish Times advised audiences: “Don’t come for sociology. Come for top actors enjoying a weekend off the leash.”
The Mirror was equally enthusiastic, describing the film as “a genuinely thrilling, gorgeously acted and at times deeply unsettling gothic tale full of surprising twists and turns.”
When can I watch The Devil All the Time?
The film is a Netflix exclusive, so it’s only available to watch there. You can’t even buy or rent it digitally, or get it on disc.

With Spider-Man: Brand New Day just around the corner, now is the perfect time to revisit Tom Holland’s previous three Spider-Man films. All three are currently available to stream on BBC iPlayer, while Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: No Way Home can also be found on Sky/NOW Cinema.
As for Robert Pattinson, his latest film, The Drama, is now available to rent or purchase digitally following its theatrical run, although it has yet to arrive on any subscription streaming service.
If you do decide to watch The Drama, it’s best to go in knowing as little as possible. One detail worth mentioning, however, is that Pattinson stars opposite Zendaya, who recently married Tom Holland—making the film an unexpected connection between two of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
