Miranda Lambert is celebrating another year of love with husband Brendan McLoughlin, sharing a collection of candid moments and a heartfelt birthday message.

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, the country star, 42, marked McLoughlin’s 35th birthday with an Instagram carousel featuring photos and videos of her husband enjoying some of his favorite activities.

“Happy Birthday @brendanjmcloughlin 35 looks good on you! Well everything looks good on you but that smile is my favorite! I love you!” Lambert wrote.

The post offered fans a glimpse into the couple’s everyday life, from McLoughlin fishing and riding a jet ski to relaxing poolside, browsing a boot store and grabbing Whataburger. One particularly sweet video showed him helping Lambert relace her sneakers.

Another clip captured Lambert serenading her husband with a playful, Vegas-inspired version of Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” while he fixed his hair. In the improvised lyrics, she joked about him wanting to leave a room in Vegas and being ready to gamble.

McLoughlin played along, laughing and snapping his fingers as Lambert continued singing.

How Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin Fell in Love

Lambert and McLoughlin first met in November 2018 on the set of Good Morning America. At the time, Lambert was promoting music with her band Pistol Annies, while McLoughlin was working security for the show.

The pair secretly married on Jan. 26, 2019, at a farm outside Nashville, Tennessee. Lambert announced the news on Instagram a few weeks later, revealing that she had married “the love of my life.”

In a March 2019 interview with PEOPLE, the “Mama’s Broken Heart” singer explained why she knew she wanted to make their relationship official.

“I feel like I’ve been through enough in my life to know what I don’t want, so when I know what I do want I snatch it right up,” she said.

Over the years, Lambert has also spoken about the happiness she has found in their marriage. In June 2022, she reflected on how McLoughlin had embraced her lifestyle, despite the adjustment of moving from New York City to a more rural environment.

“He jumped right into this lifestyle — there’s a learning curve taking a New Yorker straight to the woods — but it was a big laugh,” she told PEOPLE. “It’s nice to have a partner in that, someone by your side that supports you, loves you and believes in you.”

“He loves me for me. It’s a really cool thing to have in my life, at this point in my life,” she added.

A Birthday Tradition for the Couple

Birthday tributes have become a sweet tradition for Lambert and McLoughlin. Last year, when he turned 34, she celebrated him as her “city gone country and honorary Texan husband,” sharing photos of him enjoying time outdoors and cooking.

She also listed some of the things he loves, including his family, friends, food, travel, animals and fun.

In January 2026, the couple marked their seventh wedding anniversary with a joint Instagram carousel featuring memories from their relationship, including wine dates, horseback rides and a halibut fishing trip.

“Cheers to 7 years @brendanjmcloughlin” Lambert wrote at the time.

The singer has another milestone of her own to celebrate this month. Her 11th studio album, Crisco, was released on Oct. 2, adding to an eventful season for the country star.
