Conor Kennedy, the son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the late Mary Richardson Kennedy, has married Brazilian pop star Giulia Be in a three-day celebration in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together family and friends for a wedding filled with personal touches and romantic moments.
According to Vogue, the festivities began on Friday, October 9, with a blessing at Christ the Redeemer, one of Brazil’s most recognizable landmarks. The following day, the couple held a religious ceremony at a historic church in the heart of Rio before welcoming several hundred guests to a reception at a historic mansion in the Jardim Botanico neighborhood.
Although the couple reportedly exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles in March, the Rio celebration gave them an opportunity to bring their loved ones together in Giulia’s home country. Guests included Kennedy’s father, RFK Jr., and his wife, Cheryl Hines, according to The New York Times.
Giulia Be’s Two Custom Wedding Looks
For the blessing ceremony, Giulia, 27, chose a sleek white Calvin Klein slip dress with an open back, sheer opera-length gloves and a silk shawl draped around her neck. Speaking to Vogue before the wedding, the singer described the gown as a dream come true and said she could hardly wait for everyone to see it.
Finding the perfect dress was only part of the challenge. Giulia also had to transport it to Brazil, though she was reassured that airlines were generally accommodating when it came to wedding attire.
For her second custom gown, she opted for a more romantic design featuring a long veil, a bohemian cape jacket with lace bell sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. Giulia revealed that lace holds special appeal for Kennedy, adding playfully that he would be especially excited to see her in the look.
A Wedding Planned Around a Special Surprise
Before the ceremony, Giulia also shared one detail she hoped would make the occasion unforgettable: seeing her future husband become emotional as she walked down the aisle.
The singer told Vogue that she had been with Kennedy for nearly five years but had never seen him cry. She hoped the element of surprise would finally bring tears to his eyes, joking that if he remained composed, she would insist on restarting the wedding march.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2024. Their relationship has since attracted attention as Kennedy, 32, and Giulia have shared milestones in their life together.

Bringing the Kennedy Family to Brazil
For Giulia, hosting the celebration in Rio was about more than choosing a beautiful setting. She wanted to introduce Kennedy’s family and friends to Brazil and give them a memorable experience.
Speaking to Brazilian outlet Gshow, she recalled telling Kennedy early in their relationship that she did not want to get married in Massachusetts. The Rio celebration offered an opportunity to gather both sides of the family in a place that was meaningful to her.
The three-day event combined the couple’s personal preferences with the atmosphere of Rio, turning their wedding into a celebration that connected Kennedy’s family ties with Giulia’s Brazilian roots.
