Country star Ella Langley is speaking out after abruptly canceling her Oklahoma concert over a serious security threat, revealing why she refuses to put a performance ahead of human life. The singer addressed the frightening situation in an emotional message to concertgoers at her next show, making it clear that she has absolutely no regrets about her decision.
The 27-year-old was scheduled to perform at the BOK Center in Tulsa on October 9 as part of her Dandelion Tour. Just hours before the show, the concert was called off because of concerns about the safety of the singer, venue staff and audience members.
Langley later returned to the stage in Lubbock, Texas, on October 10, where she explained the reasoning behind her decision. She told the crowd she would make the same call again, stressing that no concert was worth risking someone’s life.
Police Found No Credible Threat
The cancellation came after authorities received a warning about possible gunfire and bombs. Tulsa police conducted security sweeps with bomb-detection dogs but said they found no credible threat. Police also clarified that they had not advised the venue or performers to cancel the event.
Although the threat was ultimately described by police as a false bomb threat, Langley and her team chose to err on the side of caution. The FBI is assisting with the investigation, according to reports.
Ella Stands Firm on Her Decision
Speaking to the audience in Texas, Langley explained that she had considered canceling her following performance, too, before deciding it was safe to proceed.
She also spoke about the importance of faith and the people who support her, saying she would not allow fear to prevent her from pursuing her calling.
Despite the disappointment for fans who had travelled to Tulsa, the singer’s message was clear: the safety of everyone attending her shows will always come first.
