The television personality shared a touching photograph of herself cuddling her dad on a sofa, smiling as they embraced. Alongside the picture, Kelly opened up about how celebrating another birthday has made his absence even more painful.

“Birthdays are a reminder of the life you gave me, Daddy,” she wrote. “I wish you were still here to celebrate it with me. Every candle I blow out carries the same wish … Just one more moment with you.”

The emotional message offered a glimpse into the grief Kelly continues to experience following the death of the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, who died aged 76 on July 22, 2025.

Kelly also shared an image of a bouquet of roses accompanied by a deeply personal card bearing the words “I love you forever” and signed “Daddy” — a poignant reminder of the special bond they shared.

For Kelly, her father was far more than a global rock star. Their relationship was a central part of her life, with the pair sharing countless memories both in private and in front of television cameras during their family’s reality show, The Osbournes.

Ozzy’s death came just over two weeks after his emotional farewell performance with Black Sabbath in Birmingham on July 5, 2025. The concert brought together the original members of the pioneering heavy metal band for one final celebration of their extraordinary musical legacy.

In the months since his passing, Kelly has spoken candidly about the devastating impact of losing him. She has described how grief affected her ability to eat and care for herself, while revealing that she struggled with her sobriety during the darkest period of her mourning.

She has since said she is eight months sober, crediting the people around her with helping her through an incredibly difficult chapter.

Despite the pain, Kelly continues to honour her father’s memory through heartfelt tributes and personal reminders of their relationship. Her birthday message shows that even as life moves forward, the loss remains deeply felt.

For the Osbourne family, the birthday celebration was another reminder of someone whose presence can never truly be replaced.

And Kelly’s words capture the heartbreaking reality of grief: no matter how much time passes, sometimes all you want is one more chance to hug the person you love.
