Allie Rae may be just 15, but she delivered a performance that made a lasting impression on the coaches of The Voice. The young country singer impressed everyone during Season 30’s first-ever Cut Week with her rendition of Lainey Wilson’s “4X4XU” — earning a particularly memorable compliment from her coach, Riley Green.

After watching her take the stage, Green praised the performance from start to finish, comparing the teenager to country music legend Reba McEntire.
“Everything about it was great, like a little mini Reba,” he told her. “You’re so fierce. We got to see the best version of you in that performance. I really loved it.”
Kelly Clarkson was equally impressed, pointing out just how remarkable Allie’s talent was at such a young age. She told the teenager that she was already far ahead of the game and predicted a bright future for her.
Green later praised Allie’s growth since her Blind Audition, highlighting her confidence and stage presence. Despite being only 15, he felt she performed with the command of a much more experienced artist.
However, the emotional moment came during a particularly difficult stage of the competition. In the show’s new Cut Week format, each coach had to choose just one additional contestant from five remaining team members to advance directly to the Live Shows.
Green ultimately selected Joe Henley, meaning Allie was not immediately guaranteed a place in the next round. But her journey was not necessarily over: viewers had the opportunity to vote for one of the remaining contestants to claim the final spot in the Top 13.
Although the result did not go her way immediately, Allie’s performance and Green’s glowing praise gave her a memorable moment in Season 30 — and showed why the young singer is one to watch.
