ADAM LAMBERT LEAVES JIMMY FALLON SPEECHLESS WITH HILARIOUS CHER IMPRESSION — AND ‘THE MUFFIN MAN’ HAS NEVER SOUNDED LIKE THIS!

Adam Lambert proved that his vocal talent comes with a seriously entertaining sense of humour when he took on one of the most unexpected musical challenges on NBC’s That’s My Jam.
Adam Lambert performs The Muffin Man as Cher

During the show’s popular Wheel of Musical Impressions game, Lambert was given a rather unusual task: perform the children’s nursery rhyme “The Muffin Man” in the style of music icon Cher. What followed was a performance that had host Jimmy Fallon and the other celebrities struggling to contain their laughter.

Rather than simply copying Cher’s distinctive voice, Lambert went all in. The singer transformed the familiar nursery rhyme into a playful version of Cher’s 1998 dance hit “Believe”, complete with dramatic vocals, signature expressions and plenty of pop-star attitude.

Lambert was competing alongside Chlöe Bailey, while Simu Liu and Halle Bailey made up the opposing team. As his performance unfolded, Chlöe enthusiastically danced along, clearly enjoying every moment.

When the song ended, Fallon could hardly believe what he had just witnessed. He applauded Lambert’s impression and marvelled at how convincingly the singer had captured Cher’s unmistakable style.

But the moment was especially fitting because Lambert already had a meaningful connection to the legendary performer. Back in 2018, he delivered a moving rendition of “Believe” at the Kennedy Center Honors in tribute to Cher. His emotional performance brought Cher to tears, making it one of the memorable musical moments of the ceremony.

This time, however, Lambert showed a completely different side of his ability, turning a beloved nursery rhyme into an unexpectedly funny pop performance.

The appearance also came shortly after the release of his covers album High Drama, which showcased his ability to reinterpret songs across different musical styles.

From powerful ballads to hilarious celebrity impressions, Lambert once again demonstrated just how versatile his voice can be. And judging by Fallon’s reaction, this was certainly not an ordinary round of musical impressions!
